The principle of operation of the diesel power plant

Motor diesel power plant works on a completely different principle. In the process of compression, only air is in the cylinder, and the coefficient is about 15-25 units. Small droplets instantly evaporate and form an air-fuel mixture, which immediately ignites when compressed.

Unlike a gasoline engine, the formation of a working charge inside the cylinder in a diesel unit occurs faster, for this reason, the mixture does not have time to become homogeneous throughout the volume.

Diesel fuel thickens strongly in frost, without special additives, the process begins at −15 ° С.

To solve this problem, we need to refuel in time with a winter type of fuel, with a lower freezing threshold, otherwise there will be different problems with the fuel pump and filter, which are designed to work with a fluid of a certain viscosity.

Diesel installation requires electricity only to start the engine, then it works autonomously.

As the long-term practice of operating power plants shows that diesel engines have a great resource, and the maintenance process consists of the timely replacement of oil, filters and fuel (according to the season).
